Zenja Kelly

Evangelist Zenja Toni Kelly took her rest early Saturday, March 13, 2021 at her home.  

Funeral services will be held at 12:00PM, Friday, March 19, 2021 at East Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.   Rev. David Gaddy will officiate.  Family and friends are welcome to pay their respects, Thursday afternoon, March 18, 2021 from 2:00PM until 5:00PM at Edwards Funeral Home in Norwood. 

Zenja was born September 8, 1968 to the late Lester and Jeweline Crump Harris.  She attended South Stanly High School from 1979-1986.  Zenja had many jobs but there was one that she really enjoyed doing and it was home care she was the supervisor in charge and med tech.  

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by Robbins Harris, Lester B. Harris, William “Ezell” Harris and Picolia “Kit” Lilly.  

She leaves behind, Marcus (Candace) Benjamin of Albemarle, Iran Lewis of Albemarle and Shakira Lewis of New London; brothers, Argentina Harris and Tracy Harris both of Norwood; sisters, Denne` Rush, Michelle(Daniel) H. McCorkle; nephew, Montina Harris “Flippy” she thought of as a brother and one aunt, Pastor Petula Little; two special grandchildren who resided in the home, Layla Bruton and Taiya McDonald; other grandchildren, Tamiya Benjamin, London Williams, Ayahziah Fraiter, Chase Williams, Kaiden Lewis, Fancy Benjamin, Royalty Benjamin, Mayden Benjamin and Morgan Benjamin; a host of nieces and nephews.
