Wanda Morgan

Wanda Efird Morgan, 69, of Albemarle, passed away Tuesday morning, June 22, 2021 at Atrium Stanly in Albemarle.  

Funeral services will be held at 2:00PM, Sunday, June 27, 2021 at Edwards Funeral Home Chapel in Norwood. Pastor Kevin Simmons will officiate and interment will follow in Norview Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6:00PM to 8:00PM, Saturday evening, June 26, 2021 at Edwards Funeral Home in Norwood.  

Wanda was born January 18, 1952 in Stanly County to the late Willie Pembleton and Gladys Barbee Efird.  She was a 1970 graduate of West Stanly High School  and Co-Owner of Greentop Transport.  She was a member of Church of God in Locust and attended  Randall United Methodist Church

If you look up the definition of love, you would find Wanda’s picture.  She loved everyone, especially her children and grandchildren.  She always made sure they were taken care of.  She kept her freezor stocked with popsicles for all the children!

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her borther, Wayne Efird.

She is survived by her husband, Garry Robert Morgan, Sr. of the home; children, Garry Robert Morgan, Jr. of Albemarle; Tracy Lynn Lee (Johnny) of Franklin; Neil Morgan(Katie) of Albemarle; Sunni Morgan (Ricky Pope) of Albemarle; grandchildren, Michelle, Stephanie, Lisa, Layla Jo , Boone and Waylon; great-grandchildren, Titus, Elias, Addison and Jep; brothers, Keith Efird(Doris), Doyle Efird(Diane) and sister, Linda Furr(Terry);  sister in law, Frieda Efird; her Morgan sister in laws, Belinda Kimrey, Denise Watkins(Tim), Carol Biles(Danny) and brother in law, Buddy Wensil(Teresa) .
