Vera Coble Eudy, 95, of Oakboro, passed away surrounded by her loving family, on Monday, April 1, 2024 at her home.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, April 6, 2024 at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. Rev. Shad Hicks will officiate and the family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the fellowship hall.
Ms. Eudy was born on November 22, 1928 in Stanly County to the late Van Leason and Dovie Mae Curlee Coble. She graduated from Oakboro High School and retired from Stanly Knitting Mills. Vera loved to bake and was a great cook. She enjoyed her flowers and watching the birds in her yard, especially hummingbirds.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Fred Lentz Eudy; son: Gene Eudy; and brothers: Harold ‘Bill’ Coble, and Bob Coble.
She is survived by her children: Michael Eudy (Ann), Suzanne Huneycutt (Terry), Debora Chaney (Dennis), and Betsy Tysinger (Tim); six grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren; special nephew, Chris Coble; special friend, Swiffie.
