Tony Morris

Tony Eugene Morris, of Troy, formerly of Norwood, passed away Friday, March 1, 2024.

A private Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

Tony was born February 12, 1946 in Stanly County to the late Walter C. “Skinny” Morris and Cula Gibson Morris.  He served in the United States  Army and was a chef.  He was a Carolina Tarheel fan.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Huneycutt Morris, daughters, Lynn Morris and Toni Morris Beckinger and special niece Donna Morris Morgan.

He is survived by his daughter, Dawn Morris(Buck Hathcock) of Albemarle and his son, Tommy Morris of Norwood; brother, Sam Morris(Barbara) of Harrisburg; grandchildren, Bucky Hathcock(Kelly), Jennifer Bellsinger(Craig), Tanya Hathcock, Sara Mason(Joe), Samantha Beckinger and Jacob Morris; 14 great-grandchildren; nieces, Kim Waddington and Susan Glovier(Brett).
