Tony Efird

Tony Martwain Efird born, 84, Albemarle, passed away on Saturday, October 25,2025 at Cabarrus Medical Center in Concord N.C. 

A Celebration of Life will be held at Barbees Grove Church in Oakboro ,NC on Saturday, November 1, 2025 at 11: 00AM

Mr. Efird was born on August 20,1941  in Stanly County to the late Winfred Carl Efird and Zora Huneycutt Efird. He was a retired truck driver for Culp Lumber Company in New London, NC.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in  death by his:  brothers Carl, Wayne, and Ondrie Efird; and sisters: Dolena Scott and Vergie May Cooper.

He is survived by his wife of 30 years Ruth Lowder Efird of the home : daughters: Sherri, Sandra and Donna; sons Jeff,and Mark: and grandchildren Amanda, Mark Jr.,  Emily, Erin, Josh, Brooke, Brantley, Jared, Leanna, Daniel, Brittany, and Brandi: 12 great-grandchildren; and sister Rozene Tucker of Albemarle, NC.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Barbee's Grove Baptist Church.
