Tom Luther

Thomas Edward Luther, 80, of Albemarle, passed away Saturday, August 19, 2023.

Funeral services will be held at 5:00 PM on Wednesday, August 23, 2023 at Palestine United Methodist Church. Rev. Kevin McCormick will officiate and interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM, prior to the service.

Mr. Luther was born on January 10, 1943, to the late Matthew Ramsom and Lela Eury Luther. He was a retired brick mason and a loving member of the Palestine Community. 

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Hathcock Luther; children: Diane Luther and Thomas Luther Jr. ‘Little Man’; granddaughter: Tiffany Weaver; and brothers and sisters: Linda Hartsaw, Elaine Simmons, Junior, Aggie, Jean, and Larry Luther. 

He is survived by his children: Donna Weaver, Denise Luther, Tommy Luther (Renee), and Kristi Little; grandchildren: Kevin Luther (Brittany), Brandon Luther (Kaylee), Megan Luther, Stephanie Weaver, Timmy Weaver, Jarvis Little, Patricia Little, and Nathan Little; 11 great-grandchildren;  sister, Brenda Luther; and a special friend, Anthony ‘Man’ Oglesby.
