Tip Harris Obituary

Tip Harris passed away peacefully surrounded by family on October 1st, 2024.

She was a teacher by profession and a leader by nature. She guided us all through example. She was never short on words, but her most lasting lessons were the ones she taught through the way she lived. She was a champion of the children of Mount Gilead and the number of lives she impacted is immeasurable. 

She is survived by her loving husband Larry, sons Robert and Austin, daughters-in-law Melissa and Nikki and granddaughters Cole, Elli and Sarah. She is preceded in death by her parents John Douglas and Frances Shankle McColl and sister Frances McColl Gable.

The family will receive friends Sunday evening, October 6, 2024  from 4:00pm until 6:00pm in the First United Methodist Church Fellowship Hall in Mount Gilead.

A Celebration of Life will be held Monday morning, October 7, 2024 at 10:30am at First United Methodist Church in Mount Gilead
