Timothy Blake

Timothy Blake, 35, of Mt. Gilead, passed away Friday, May 27, 2022 at his home.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, June 2, 2022 at Chappell Cemetery in Ellerbe. Rev. Wayne Luck will officiate.

Timothy was born on April 3, 1987 to Tim Blake and the late Lekuitta Griffin.He had previously worked as a camp counselor at Millstone 4-H Camp and enjoyed working with the children and the other counselors. He was known to his friends as ‘Brother Tim.’ He loved animals, especially his dogs Roxie and Morty. 

In addition to his mother he is preceded in death by his grandfather, Raeford Blake.

In addition to his father, he is survived by his brother, Daniel Purvis (Taylor); sister: Rebekah Leonard (Joey); little brother Nate; step-mother Joann Shephard; and grandmother Earline Blake; and nieces and nephews: Riley, Jarrett, Katelyn, and John who lovingly called him ‘Uncle T.’
