Terry Thompson

Terry Benton Thompson, 51, of Albemarle, passed away surrounded by his family on Saturday, January 30, 2021.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00PM on Tuesday, February 2, 2021 at Community Full Gospel Church. Mike Lisk will officiate, and burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends on Monday evening, February 1, from 5:00 to 8:00PM at Edwards Funeral Home.

Mr. Thompson was born in Stanly County on September 13, 1969 to the late Terry and Sara Caudle Thompson. He was a member of Community Full Gospel church where he proudly served as a Deacon. Terry was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather.

He is survived by his wife, Teresa Bullock Thompson of the home; his children: Lee Thompson (Lee Ann), Aaron Thompson (Jessie), both of Norwood, Chris Purkey (Bree), Michael Purkey (Sam), Bradley Thompson, Christian Thompson, Brittany Thompson, and Courtney Thompson, all of Albemarle; grandchildren: Eli, Amelia, Judah, Millie, AJ, and Mya; and his aunt Debbie McRae( Max) of Mt. Gilead.
