Sue Cassidy

Susan Rebecca “Sue” Morton Cassidy, 69, of Candor died Saturday night, August 22, 2020 at First Health Hospice House in West End.

There will be a gathering of family and friends at the home of Gail Greene, 189 Capel Street, Troy, on Tuesday August 25, 2020 from 2:00pm-5:00pm.  

Sue was born April 30, 1951 in Stanly County to the late Winston Robert “Wink” Morton and Doris Mabry Howard  She was last employed with Capel Rugs.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Lakita Cassidy.

She is survived by her husband, Paul Spivey of the home; sons, Robert Cassidy of Star, Jeffery Cassidy of Troy and daughter Crystal Casidy of Troy; six grandchildren, Sarah Cassidy, Tamara Cassidy, Rebecca Spivey, Robey Spivey, Dustin Lopez and SyNyah Spivey; two great-grandchildren, Robey Scott Spivey, Jr. and Jordan Cassidy; six sisters, Linda Keziah of Norwood, Gail Greene of Troy, Debra Smith of Charlotte, Dalene Lewis of Oak Island, Tina Gray of Shalotte and Ivy Hawk of Fayetteville; brother, Mike Howard of Norwood.
