Sudie Curlee

Sudie Kay Dorsey Curlee, 82, of Albemarle, passed away Friday, March 6, 2026 at Trinity Place in Albemarle.

A celebration of life will be held at 7:00 PM on Monday, March 9, 2026 at Edwards Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. David Howard will officiate. 

Ms. Curlee was born on September 15, 1943 in Stanly County to the late Kenneth Ladd and Foey Curlee Dorsey. Sudie enjoyed flowers, working in her garden, and watching her favorite show, The Golden Girls. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Curlee; and brothers and sisters. 

She was survived by her children:Kenneth Curlee, Jeffrey Curlee (Sunday Ingram), and Trent Curlee; three grandchildren: Jake Oliver (Kristi), Dustin Curlee (Tama), and Seth Curlee (Shara); and four great-grandchildren: Paxton, Kaelyn, Tenley, and Luca; and numerous nieces and nephews.
