Steven Morgan

Steven Lane Morgan, 77, of Oakboro passed away on Tuesday, December 31, 2024 at Atrium Health Cabarrus.

A graveside funeral service will be held on Friday, January 3, 2025 at 2:00 PM at Liberty Hill Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. Rev. Steve Barbee will officiate. The family will receive friends from 12:00 PM until 1:30 PM at Edwards Funeral Home in Norwood. 

Steven was born on March 9, 1947 in Stanly County to the late Lucille Blake Morgan. He worked as a supervisor at the Fenestra Corporation. He also loved his family, and spent as much time with them as he could. Steven enjoyed spending his time restoring classic cars, and enjoying the outdoors, being an avid hunter and fisherman. 

In addition to his mother, he is preceded in death by one brother Ronald, and two sisters Margaret and Sandra.

He is survived by his wife, Kathy Plyler Morgan, of the home, their daughter Stephanie Morgan Edwards (John), two grandchildren: Mason Edwards, and Morgan Edwards, and six sisters: Judy, Linda, Pam, Vickie, Debbie, and Robin.
