Steve Watts

Steve Daniel Watts, Sr. of Hahira, GA, formerly of Norwood,  passed away Tuesday afternoon, May 6, 2025 at his home surrounded by family that loved him.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00pm,  Saturday, May 10, 2025, at Norview Gardens, Norwood, NC.  Rev. Todd McSwain will officiate.

Steve was born October 13, 1942 in Stanly County to the late Rhette Wayland Watts and Leffie Clontz Watts.  He retired from Collins & Aikman Corporation.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Wendy Ann Watts and his siblings, Margaret Thompson (Wade), Elizabeth Poplin (Ralph), Angel Lefler (Rufus) and James David Watts.

In addition is survived by his wife, Hilda Cranford Watts; son, Steve D. Watts Jr and his fiance͑e, Nettie Rose Hatcher;  grandson, Steve D. Watts, III; grand daughter in law, Ally Spillers Watts;  granddaughters, Anna Watts, and Kaylee Watts; great grandson, Phillip D Watts
