Stephen Ruble

With heavy hearts we are sad to announce Stephen Lee Ruble 72 of Norwood passed away on Saturday September 4, 2021 at Atrium-Anson in Wadesboro.  

A private family service will be held at a later date.

Mr. Ruble was born January 13, 1949 in Aurora, Indiana to the late Glen Ruble and Ruby Johnston Ruble. He was a veteran of the United states navy serving during the Vietnam war. After the Navy Steve went on to a career with the State of Florida Department of Corrections and retired as a Sergeant after 26 years. 

He is survived by his wife Lisa Slominske Ruble, His son Casey Frank Ruble and wife Erica Benjamin Ruble of Norwood. His grandson Alexander Frank Ruble.  Aunt Linda Ruble, Uncles Brian and Keith Ruble, cousins, extended family and longtime friends.   

He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and friend. Steve had an incredible zest for life, a wit and sense of humor that was unmatched. He loved living in a small town again in NC as it reminded him of his hometown where he was raised.  He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
