Stephen Burleson

Stephen Daniel Burleson, Sr.,  57, of Salisbury, passed away Thursday, October 8, 2020.

A private graveside service will be held Saturday, October 24, 2020.

Stephen was born June 20, 1963 in Stanly County to the late Cleo Burleson and Diane Whitley Burleson who survives.  He was a member of Aquadale Baptist Church and was last employed by Carolina Solite. Stephen was a very loving father, son and grandfather.  He enjoyed trivia, fishing, and loved watching sports.  He most enjoyed spending time with his family, and will be greatly missed by family and friends. 

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his grandfather, Hugh Whitley and grandmother, Cloris Burleson and step-son, Eric Sanders.

In addition to his mother, Stephen is survived by his son, Danny Burleson and daughter, Krystal Surratt; grandchildren, Dominick, Demitri and Erica Hammond, Sean Lowder and Abby Burleson; brothers, Scott Burleson and wife, Kelly and Andy Burleson and wife, Suzy; grandmother, Julia Whitley and friend, Paula Rankin.
