Shelia Efird

Shelia Burleson Efird, 66, of Albemarle, passed away Tuesday afternoon, January 9, 2024 at Atrium Cabarrus in Concord.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00PM, Friday, January 12, 2024 at Edwards Funeral Home Chapel in Norwood.  Mr. Gary Burleson will officiate.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Edwards Funeral Home.  

Sheila was born November 19, 1957 in Stanly County to the late Milas Clifford and Sadie Ruth Smith Burleson.  She graduated from West Stanly High School and went on to obtain a Certified Nursing Assistant degree.  She was last employed with Metal Forge.

Sheila was a devoted, loving wife and loved spending time with her husband and their families.  She was an avid reader, loved animals and especially enjoyed playing with her dog and rooster.

She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Bobby A. Efird of the home; brothers, Jerry N. Burleson(Johnnie) of Albemarle, Gary Burleson(Linda) of Stanfield and Ken Burleson(Pat) of Oakboro; several nieces and nephews; her dog, Sandy and her rooster, Firecracker.
