Sharon Hinson Covey

Sharon Hinson Covey 71 of Norwood died peacefully Friday, February 14, 2025 at Atrium Cabarrus in Concord surrounded by her brothers.

It was Sharon’s request that no formal services be held and that her family and friends remember her in their own special way.

Sharon was born August 5, 1953 in Stanly County to the late Clarence “Wink” and Alta Mae Ingold Hinson. She was a graduate of South Stanly High School and was a charter member of South Stanly Baptist Church and spent many years as a caregiver.

Sharon enjoyed making new friends and volunteering with Tillery Compassionate Care and spending time with canine companion Quinn.

She is survived by her brothers Tony Hinson and wife Denise and Melvin Pope and wife Heather all of Norwood and her nieces and nephews. She is also survived by a special family friend Mitchell Watkins.
