Sara Robinson

Sara Yarbrough Robinson 86 of Mt. Gilead died Wednesday Afternoon, August 12, 2020 at Autumn Care of Biscoe.

Funeral Services will be held at 3:00 PM Saturday, August 15, 2020 at Blackwood Chapel Baptist Church. Rev. Billy Glover will officiate and interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. Mrs. Robinson will lie in state from 2:00 until 5:00 Friday Afternoon at Edwards Funeral Home of Mt. Gilead.

Mrs. Robinson was born March 1, 1934 in Anson County to the late Benton Henry and Stella Dennis Yarbrough. She was a longtime member of Blackwood Chapel Baptist Church and a retired assistant manager of Pope’s Department Store of Mt. Gilead.

She was preceded in death by her husband James Raford Robinson, her daughter, Audrey Robinson Parsons and her brothers Alex Yarbrough, Ashley Yarbrough and Jerry Yarbrough.

She is survived by her son, Dwight Raford Robinson of the home. Her grandson, Kenneth Wayne Parsons of Mt. Gilead and her sister, Mildred Yarbrough Rader of Morganton.
