Ruth Biggers

Ruth Owens Biggers, 89 of Albemarle passed away Thursday, February 16, 2023 at Trinity Place.

The funeral service will be at Edwards Funeral Home Chapel in Norwood on Saturday, February 18 ,2023 at 11:00AM. Rev. Paul Pickler will officiate and the family will receive friends an hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at Norview Gardens in Norwood.

Ruth was born March 28,1933 in Randolph County, NC. She was the daughter of the late Astor Lee Owens and Pearlie Morris Owens. She was known for living life to the fullest and had many special friends! She was a member of White Crest Baptist Church in Mt Gilead. 

She is survived by her daughters, Mae Allen of Albemarle, Cathy Hartsell of Leland, sons David Burris of Albemarle and Henry Burris of Concord. She has six grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and five great- great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, Lee Burris and Harvey Biggers, and children; Marlene and Ted Burris.
