Rosa Neil Dennis Curlee, 91, of Norwood, entered into her Heavenly home on Tuesday, February 18, 2025 at her Lakeside home on Lake Tillery.
Rosa was a member of the Nazarene Church of Norwood. She retired from Collins and Aikman after many years and then enjoyed her lakeside home on Lake Tillery. She enjoyed sitting on her front porch watching fishermen casting their lures near her pier, the ducks swimming in the lake, and listening to the birds sing. She was a lady of perfection when it came to her flowers, especially her roses and making flower arrangements for the church.
A memorial service to honor her life will be held on Friday, February 21, 2025 at 3:00 PM at Edwards Funeral Home Chapel. The service will be officiated by Rev. Derrick Addcock. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
Mrs. Curlee was born on February 1, 1934 to the late J. Hugh and Rebecca Morton Dennis.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands Bill Curlee, Wendall Burleson, and Charles Parker, the father of her children; her brothers: Billy Hoyle, and Eugene Dennis; sisters Barbara Scott and Elaine Huneycutt; and her youngest son, Rodney ‘Hoss’ Parker.
She is survived by her children: Mike Parker (Carolyn) of Norwood, Pat Drye (David) of Richfield, Bobby Parker (Tammy) of Concord, and Dennis Parker (Donna) of Albemarle; daughter in law, Wendy Parker; seven grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials to be made to VIA Health Partners : 7845 Little Avenue Charlotte NC 28226, or a charity of your choice.
