Rodney Byant Poplin 67 of Norwood died Saurday Morning, May 22, 2021 at his home.
The family will receive friends Tuesday, May 25, 2021 at the residence.
Rodney was born June 10, 1953 in Stanly County to the late Willie Bryant and Onnie Mae Biles Poplin. He was a retiree of Aeroquip and a member of Cedar Grove United Methodist Church.
He is survived by his wife Mary “Cathy” Hanna Poplin of the home. One son Paul Poplin
(Lindsey) of New London and one daughter, Tonya Clark. Two step sons, Jimmy Dennis and Terry Dennis. Sisters, Diane Howell (Bob) of Raleigh and Faye Pope of Spring Arbor. Three grandchildren, Wyatt Proffitt, Richard Clark Jr. and Jordan Dennis.
He was preceded in death by his half sister, Marie Huneycutt and half brothers, Bryce Poplin, Max Poplin, John Poplin and Ray Poplin.
