Roderick “Ricky” Nathaniel West, II, 28, of Albemarle, passed away Saturday, July 24, 2021.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00PM, Sunday, August 1, 2021 at Edwards Funeral Home Chapel in Norwood. Rev. Billy West will officiate. Interment will follow in Homeland Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 3:00pm to 5:00pm, Saturday afternoon, July 31, 2021 at Edwards Funeral Home in Norwood.
Ricky was born July 15, 1993 in Stanly County to Roderick Nathaniel West, Sr.(Tonya) and Jamie Hartsell Glover (Rick). He attended South Stanly High School and was employed with Universal Forest Products. He was a member of Old Fashion Mission Church.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his daughter, Abby Santana West, nine years old; his fiance, Brittany Souza and their children, Bentley “Bubby” West, four years old and Gracelynn Elaine West newborn; sisters, Kiersten Louise Holcomb(Ryan) of Norwood; Courtney Nicole West of Albemarle and brother, Dillon Matthew West of Norwood; paternal grandmother, Eloise Deese of Stanfield; paternal grandmother, Jean West of Norwood and paternal grandfather, Rev. Billy West (Linda Walker West) of Albemarle.
