Ricky Hathcock

Ricky Craig Hathcock, 59, of Norwood, died Sunday night, January 23, 2022.

A memorial service will be held at 3:00PM, Sunday, January 30, 2022 at Memorial Baptist Church in Norwood.  Dr. Josh Phillips will officiate.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.  

Ricky was born March 30, 1962 in Stanly County to the late Ralph Alexander and Vickie Whitley Hathcock.  He was a 1980 graduate of South Stanly High School and was a project manager for Metrolina Builders.  He was a member of Memorial Baptist Church.  

Rick was an avid deer hunter and loved to fish.  He enjoyed playing the drums and all kinds of music.

He is survived by his wife, Donna Preslar Hathcock; daughter, Sommer Morgan (Adam) of Charlotte and son, Ricky Hathcock (Jaclyn Ricketts) of Wadesboro; grandchildren, Lucy, Layton and Bryson; sisters, Pam Hathcock and Hope Massey (Mike); his father in law, Layton Preslar.
