Rebecca Sikes

Rebecca Sue Pressley Sikes, 87, of Polkton, passed away on Tuesday, November 11th, 2025, at her home, surrounded by her loved ones.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, November 14th, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at Rocky River Baptist Church in Polkton NC, with Pastors Dennis Stegall and Donald Rhyne officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

Rebecca was born on September 8th, 1938, in Union County, the only daughter of the late Charles Loyd Pressley & Gracey Belle Simpson. She retired from Stanly Knitting, located in Oakboro, NC.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her four brothers.

She is survived by her husband of 69 years, Ted Rhoad Sikes; their children: Ronnie Sikes (Kimberly), Anthony "Neal" Sikes (Nancy), and Danny Sikes (Laura); eight grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
