Peggy Carver Riggsbee, 68 of Oakboro, passed away Thursday afternoon, March 18, 2021 surrounded by her loving family.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00PM, Monday, March 22, 2021 at Friendship Baptist Church in Stanfield. Interment will follow in Oakboro Cemetery. Rev. Charles Carver and Rev. Clint Lewey will officiate. The family will receive friends Monday at the church one hour prior to the service.
Mrs. Riggsbee was born October 29, 1952 in Stanly County to the late Willie B. and Ada Eury Carver. Peggy was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Her greatest joy came from being with her family. She made a positive impact on all who knew her.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Lou Connell.
She is survived by her husband, John Duncan Riggsbee of the home; son, John Marshall Riggsbee of Midland; daughters, Anita Kimrey and husband, David of Oakboro and Rebecca Eudy and husband, Brent of Stanfield; grandchildren, Darrin and Bradley Riggsbee, Matthew Rushing, Zachary Helmsorig, Michael, Hannah and Alexander Eudy; brothers, Ernest Carver and wife, Phyllis of New London, Rev. Charles Carver and wife, Anne of Rockwell, Bennie Carver and wife, Marie of Albemarle; sisters, Kay Morgan and husband, Rick and Matrha Coble and husband Roger all of Albemarle.
