Obituary
Peggy Almond Propst, 88, of Wadesboro, passed away on Friday, May 26, 2023 at Anson Health and Rehab.
A graveside funeral service will be held Wednesday, May 31st 2023 at 11 AM at Red Hill Baptist Church Cemetery. Rev. Donnie Helms will officiate.
Mrs. Propst was born on December 14, 1934 in Anson County to the late Charles Franklin and Ann Pegram Almond.
In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Gene Propst; two sons: Michael Warren Propst and Carl Wayne Propst; brothers, Shorty Almond and Erskine Almond; sister: Nancy Forbes, and brother: Vernon Almond.
She is survived by her daughter-in-laws, Janet Propst and Jean Propst; grandson, Zachary Propst brother, Charles Almond and wife Sybil; and sister, Louise and Larry Williams.
Peggy resided at Red Hill Community with her husband for 57 years. She was a woman of great faith and strength who endured a lot through her life. During the last 2 years of her life, due to health complications, she resided at Anson Health and Rehab where the staff and Liberty Hospice gave her special care.
The family would like to extend their gratitude to the staff of Anson Health and Rehab as well as the staff of Liberty Hospice.
