Patty Kimrey

Patty McIntyre Kimrey 87 of Norwood died Saturday Afternoon, October 4, 2025 at Wadesboro Health and Rehab.

There will be no formal services

Patty was born January 7, 1938 in Stanly County to the late James Woodrow and Gracie Mae Russell McIntyre. She was a business woman earning her Cosmetology degree after high school. She and her late husband Roy built a salon onto their home, long before many women had their own businesses, in which she cared for women in her community until she retired.

She loved homegrown vegetables, classic TV, and animals, especially her cats.

She was preceded in death by her husband Roy Kimrey, her son Randy Kimrey, and her daughter Cheryl Kimrey Tucker.

She is survived by her daughter Sandra Wiles of Norwood. Her grandchildren, Brian Vick, Amanda Kimrey, Matthew Kimrey, Nathan Kimrey. Great-grandchildren, Jaxxon Vick and Malloy Kimrey.

In lieu of flowers, the family is asking for assistance and donations to help care for and rehome her beloved cats.
