Patsy Smith

Patsy Emogene Britt Smith, 89, of Norwood passed away early Thursday morning, March 11, 2021 at Atrium Health-Stanly.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00PM, Saturday, March 13, 2021 at Cottonville Baptist Church.  Rev. Randy Swaringen will offficiate and burial will follow in the church cemetery.  The family will received friends at the church from 1:00PM - 2:00PM, prior to the service.

Patsy was born September 11, 1931 in Montgomery County to the late Daniel Archiebald and Mamie Lois Morris Britt.  She was a retiree of Collins & Aikman, Norwood.  She was an active member of Cottonville Baptist Church, where she taught Sunday school.  Patsy was a loving and kind mother and grandmother. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Estell Fedor Smith and son, Arnold Wade Smith and brother, Danny Britt.

She is survived by her daughters, Julia Smith Biles and Diane Smith Tucker and husband, Robert, all of Norwood; daughter in law, Tonya Smith of Albemarle;  grandchildren, Emily Walters (Jethro) of England, Angela Bowers (Troy) of Norwood, Ashlee Tucker of Albemarle, Tyler Heith Tucker of Norwood, step- granddaughter, Shana Fore; great-grandchildren, Bradlee, Ava, Eli, Malachi, Jamison and step great-grandchild, Ethan; sister, Linda Burnley, brothers, Don Britt (Nancy), John Britt (Donna) and Michael Britt (Elizabeth)
