Paige Smith

Lauren Paige Smith, 35, of Norwood, passed away Tuesday, October 8, 2024 at Atrium Health in Pineville.

A homegoing celebration will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, October 12, 2024 at Philadelphia Baptist Church, 12568 Philadelphia Church Rd, Stanfield, NC 28163. Pastor Bill Baldwin will officiate and burial will follow in the church cemetery. 

Paige was born on November 15, 1988 in Cabarrus County. She graduated from South Stanly High School in 2007 and worked for GHA in Albemarle. She attended Harvest Church in Albemarle. Paige will be remembered for her beautiful smile and loving spirit. She never met a stranger and befriended everyone. Her sense of humor and kindness made her easy to love and a joy to all who knew her. 

She is survived by her loving husband, Matthew Smith of the home;  her beloved canine companion, Sheldon; her mother and father, Bonnie and Charlie Burris; sister Holly Knotts (Matthew); step brothers: Jason Burris (Hannah) and Brian Burris (Jessica); grandmother: Faye Fitton;  nieces and nephews: Emma, Madeleine, Lilly, Briggs, Jemma, and Brian David; father-in-law and mother-in law: Jerry and Saundra Smith; and sister-in-law, Kayce; and Father, Daniel Fitton.
