Myrtis Jarman

Myrtis Ware Jarman, 79, of Troy, passed away Wednesday, March 22, 2023 at her home.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00AM, Saturday, March 25, 2023 at Calvary Baptist Church.  Rev. Steve Jarman, Rev. Jesse Carpenter, and Rev. Chip MacAulay will officiate. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.  

Mrs. Jarman was born September 17, 1943 in Jasper County, SC to the late Jack Haywood Ware and Mildred Hall Ware.  She was a member of Candor Baptist Church and a previous member of Calvary Baptist Church, where she led music for over 30 years, and taught Sunday school.  Myrtis loved to sing!  She was a retired secretary with Montgomery Insurance.  

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Preston Jarman, Jr., granddaughters, Abagail, Beatrice and Catherine.  

She is survived by her children,  Cynthia Akins(Kevin) of Mount Gilead, son, Steven Bryan Jarman(Wendy) of Troy; grandchildren, Mollie Akins(fiancé, Mickey Reza), Nathan Jarman(Haleigh), Joseph Jarman, Andrew Jarman and Sarah Jarman; great grandson, Roam Reza; sister, Carol Byrd; two nephews, Alan Urwich(Crystal) and Scott Urwich(Julie).

 In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to:  Hospice of Stanly and Uwharrie, 960 N First Street, Albemarle, NC 28001.
