Robert Michael “Mike” “Red” Ashley, Sr., 61 of Albemarle passed away Wednesday evening, January 27, 2021 at Atrium Stanly.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.

Mr. Ashley was born August 14, 1959 to the late Robert Lee and Ruth Marie McCall Ashley. He was last employed in construction and enjoyed fishing.

He is survived by his sons, Ronald Maurice Ashley and wife Kristen of Midland and Robert Michael Ashley, Jr. of Johnstown, New York; sisters, Cindy Greene, Lisa Ashley and Becky Ashley all of Monroe and Rhonda Kay Ashley-Jones of Cherryville; brother, Darrell Wayne Ashley of Locust and seven grandchildren.
