Robert Hampton Aldridge Jr., ‘Mick’, 75 of Norwood, passed away Sunday September 15, 2024 at Atrium Main, surrounded by his loving family.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, September 28, 2024 at 3:00 PM at Community Full Gospel Church with Pastor Mike Lisk officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service
Mick was born on January 2, 1949 in Stanly County to the late Robert Hampton Aldridge Sr. and Flonnie Hinson. He served in the United States Army and was proud to be in the Military. After serving, he worked and retired from Stanly Fixtures. Mick was a simple and humble man. He was funny, had the best sense of humor, and was always willing to share what was on his mind and told it like it was. He will be remembered as a fun and loving husband, father, and grandfather.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, Billy Mauldin.
He is survived by his loving wife, Kim Su Aldridge, of the home; daughters: Taska Tucker (Jeff) of Norwood, Teresa Marks (Chris) of Locust, Tammy Provost (Danny) of Albemarle, and Wanda Foy (Joe) of Oakboro; 16 grandchildren: Cody (Michaela) Scarlett, Sydney, Hailey, Mick, Elliot, Samantha, Brandon Dusty, Matthew (Taylor), Brittney (Casey), Alyssa (Cody), Zach, Noah, and Abby; and many great-grandchildren; one brother: Ted Mauldin; and his life long best friend, Perry and Shelby Carpenter.
