Michael Allen Johnson

Michael Allen Johnson (Mike, Taco) age 68,  passed  away peacefully at home surrounded by his beloved family on July 23, 2026.  

He was born on November 26, 1957 to Floyd and Barbara Johnson.  He is survived by his devoted and loving wife, Karen Johnson, daughter Shannon Johnson, brother Randy Johnson (Brenda) and sister Vickie (Gary) Echols. Nephews and Nieces, Chad, Holly, Joshua, Shane and Ryan Johnson. Jake Cark and Tabatha Davis. Special friends Todd Smith and Justin York. 

Mike graduated from Allen Jay High School in 1976.  He worked at UPS for 37 years. He spent his retirement years working as a handy man, camping with family and friends and helping others.  

Mike fought a hard battle with Richters Lymphoma.  His kindness and sense of humor (prankster), and gentle spirit  made him easy to love and hard to forget.  

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.  He attended Bethel Baptist Church.  In  lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Bethel Baptist Church, PO Box 1137, Mount Gilead, NC 27306.
