Melissa Lanier

Melissa Ann Lanier 47 of Albemarle died Sunday, July 23, 2023 at her home.

Funeral Services will be held at 1:00PM Friday, July 28, 2023 in Edwards Funeral Home Chapel of Norwood. Interment will follow in Fairview Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6:00PM until 8:00PM Thursday Evening at the funeral home.

Melissa was born July 10, 1976 in Cabarrus County to the late Benjamin Morris and Joyce Ann Jenkins Hambrick of Albemarle. She was a Certified Nursing Assistant.

In addition to her mother Joyce Hambrick and step-father Marty Hambrick she is survived by her husband Troy Leon Lanier Jr. of the home. Three daughters Haley Brooke Lundy, Amber Le-Ann Lundy and Alexus Michelle Page and a son Kevin “Buddy” Ray Lundy Jr. all of Albemarle. Her siblings Ricky Carpenter, Debbie Morrow, Wendy Hill, Angela Scoggins(Clint), Kristen Gray(Anthony) and Ashley Coley(James). 28 nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her siblings Larry Hudson, Donna Gravens, Teresa Duval and Benjamin Carpenter.
