Mary (Throneburg) Blalock

Mary Throneburg Blalock 94 of Norwood died Tuesday Morning, November 13, 2018 at Trinity Place.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, November 15, 2018 at Edwards Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Ken Martin will officiate and interment will follow in Mt. Zion United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Mary was born October 24, 1924 in Wake County to the late Oka William and Alma Scruggs Throneburg. She was a homemaker and a member of Calvary Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband G.W. Blalock, her son, James Kelly “Butch” Blalock, brothers and sisters, Bill, Tommy, Margaret, Evelyn and Peggy.

She is survived by her daughter, Terry B. Haywood (Mike). One granddaughter, Beth Lowry and two great-granddaughters, Kelly and Brooke all of Norwood. One brother, Carl Throneburg (Dyann) of Moore, S.C.
