Mark Kendall

Mark Owen Kendall, 61, of Norwood, passed away Sunday night, August 15, 2021 at his home.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00AM, Thursday, August 19, 2021 at Edwards Funeral Chapel in Norwood.  Rev. Mike Lisk and Mrs. Joy Page will officiate and interment will follow in Rehobeth Methodist Church Cemetery.  The family will receive friends Wednesday night, August 18, 2021 from 6:00PM to 8:00PM at Edwards Funeral Home in Norwood.

Mark was born July 29, 1960 in Stanly County to the late Wilburn Jennings and Jane Duke Kendall.  He was a 1978 graduate of South Stanly High School and was a foreman at Precision Saw Works in Polkton.  Mark was an avid Drag Racing supporter, not only did he enjoy watching it, he had is own car and raced as long as his health allowed.

He is survived by his loving wife, Heidi Clark Kendall of the home; son, Corey Kendall and wife, Pamela and their three girls, Katelyn, Khloe, and Kelsee of Norwood; brothers, W. Jennings Kendall, Jr. and Kevin Joseph Kendall and wife, Marilyn all of Norwood.
