Marguerite (Waddell) Rowan

Marguerite Waddell Rowan 95 of Ansonville died Sunday morning, December 9, 2018 at the home of her sister Miriam Waddell Roush.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, December 14, 2018 at Red Hill Baptist Church Cemetery. Rev. Rodney Clements will officiate.

Marguerite was born June 19, 1923 at the family home in Ansonville to the late Eddie G.Waddell Sr. and Lilla Hancock Waddell. She was a 1940 graduate of Ansonville High School and a member of Ansonville Baptist Church. Marguerite was an avid golfer and played well into her later years.

She was preceded in death by her husband Col. John L. Rowan, sisters, Roma Redfern and Inez Lee, brothers, Clay, James, Hugh and E.G. Jr.

Survivors include her twin sister, Miriam Waddell Roush of Norwood and a niece Edwina Webster (Thomas) of Eden, NC.
