Margie Blake

Margie Lee Blake, 92, of Troy, passed away Friday, August 18, 2023 at Autumn Care of Biscoe.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00AM on Saturday,  August 26, 2023. The family will receive friends on Friday evening, August 25, 2023 from 6:00 to 8:00PM at Edwards Funeral Home in Mt. Gilead. 

Ms. Blake was born on October 29, 1930 in Richmond County to the late Henry Marion and Ada Britt Lee. She was a dietician for the State of North Carolina. 

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her sons: sons: Coy Blake of Troy and Harvey; brothers and sisters: Richard Lee, Albert Lee, Brantley Lee, Ervin Lee, Travis Lee, Jeanette Bowman, Lucille Lewis, Bea Sexton, Roberta Moore,  and Catherine Louise Lee.

She is survived by her daughters,  Geniva Bruton of Mt. Gilead, Brenda Sneed of Mt. Gilead, and Teresa Higginbotham of CoCo , FL; Ten grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; sisters: Mattie Dennis, Barbara Hudson, Joyce Cole, Irene Treece, and Darlene Haene; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
