Linda Troutman

Our beloved Mother and Grandmother, Linda Watts Troutman, 74, of Norwood, passed away Saturday, November 16, 2024 surrounded by her family. 

The Love of God and Family were most important to Linda. She was known for her sense of humor and always made us laugh.She enjoyed going to yard sales and thrift stores, always finding unique treasures to share with friends. Crafting and working with her hands brought her much joy as did cooking and sharing good food.She loved for others to be happy and would go out of her way to see them smile. She was willing to share what she had with anyone. Linda never met a stranger.Mama made sure we always had what we needed and taught us how to love. Her favorite saying was "It is better to give than to receive."She had a loving and caring heart for everyone she met and her love shone through her smile.

She was born in Robeson County on October 5, 1950. The daughter of the late Albert Hall and Crissie Hodge Watts of St. Pauls, NC. she has three siblings, Libby, Betty and Ray.
She was preceded in death by her husband and father to her children, James Ronald Cooke. Her dear sister, Lydia "Libby" Hursey Clark, formerly of Norwood.

A celebration of her life will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, November 20, 2024 at Edwards Funeral Home Chapel. We invite her many friends to bring stories or pictures to share, that would make her happy.

She was a member of Freedom Holiness Church.

She is survived by her daughters: Nonnie Luther (Brian) and Lorri Britt, both of Norwood; her sister Betty Walters of Chambersburg, PA; her loving partner of 28 years, Kenneth Green; three grandchildren whom she adored: Joshua Burleson (Tiffany), Kacie Mullis (Tyler), and Katlyn Burleson; five Great-grandchildren: Kaiden, Kilyn, Sadie, Hayden, and McKenzie; and her faithful canine companion, Luna.
