Linda Poplin

Mary Linda Lambert Poplin, 81, of Norwood passed away late Monday night, August 5, 2024 at Spring Arbor in Albemarle.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00pm, Friday, August 9, 2024 at Edwards Funeral Home Chapel in Norwood.  Rev. Todd McSwain will officiate.  The family will receive friends from 12:30 pm until 1:00pm prior to the service at the funeral home.  Interment will be held at The National Cemetery in Salisbury.

Linda was born May 12, 1943 in Stanly County to the late Paul Larence and Pearl Allen Lambert.  She retired from Duke Power and Stanly County Clerk of Court.  She was a member of Norwood First Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, J. D. “Dixie” Poplin.

She is survived by her two sons, Jerry Dixie Poplin and Michael Larence Poplin; special caregiver, Kathy Thompson and her husband, Gerald.
