Linda Parnell

Linda Haithcock Parnell, 78, of Norwood, passed away Tuesday, October 26, 2021 at Atrium Health Stanly.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00PM on Saturday, October 30, 2021 at First United Methodist Church in Norwood with Rev. Mark Barden officiating. Burial will follow at Wadeville Baptist Church Cemetery in Mt. Gilead. The Funeral Home will be open on Friday from 2:00 to 5:00PM and on Saturday morning from 9:00 to 1:00PM for family and friends to pay their respects. 

Mrs. Parnell was born on December 26, 1942 in Montgomery County to the late John Hurley and Geneva McRae Haithcock. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Norwood.

In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her twin sister, Brenda Haithcock Reitzell.

She is survived by her husband, Jerry Parnell of the home; her son, Kenly Parnell of Norwood; niece and nephew Kim Reitzell and Bryan Rietzell; sister in law, Dawn Lemons (Clarence); and brother in law, Raymond Parnell (Judy) as well as numerous nieces and nephews.  Memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church in Norwood PO Box 948, Norwood, NC 28128.
