Linda Blake

Linda Smith Blake, 79, of Norwood passed away Sunday, December 24, 2023 at her home.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00pm, Thursday, December 28, 2023 at Edwards Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Edwards Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Blackwood Chapel Baptist Church Cemetery.  Rev. Mike Rinehart will officiate.

Linda was born September 21, 1944 in Stanly County to the late Zeb Cluthes and Virgie Swaringen Smith.  She was a member of Hillside Baptist Church in Albemarle.  Linda was loved by many little children that she cared for in her home day care. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Aaron Theodore Blake and son Wesley Blake; great granddaughter, Eliza Blake.

She is survived by her daughter, Dean Huneycutt(Melvin) of Oakboro; son, Zeb Blake(Aimee) of Norwood; daughter in law, Paula Blake of Norwood;  seven grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren; two sisters Pat and Shelby Jean.
