Lina Howell Sikes, 80, of Ansonville, passed away Friday morning, January 19, 2024 at her home.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00pm, Monday, January 22, 2024 at Edwards Funeral Home Chapel in Norwood. Pastor J. D. Moffett will officiate. Burial will follow in Red Hill Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4:00pm to 6:00pm, Sunday evening, January 21, 2024 at Edwards Funeral Home in Norwood.
Lina was born February 6, 1943 in Anson County to the late Edward Jones and Eddie Lee Threadgill Howell. She graduated in 1961, the first graduating class of Anson High School. She owned and operated Ansonville Nursery for several years and enjoyed her time as a waitress at Western Sizzlin in Wadesboro. She attended Concord Methodist Church during her younger years and later joined Red Hill Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Gerald Covington Sikes; brothers, Donald, Edward and Robert Howell; sisters, Rebecca Sells and Matilda Hinson.
She is survived by her husband, Bobby Hill Sikes of the home; daughters, Ronda Beachum(Tracy) of Ansonville and Susan Hill of Ansonville; nine grandchildren, Kristy Campbell(Justin), Travis Beachum, Anna Capel(Arthur), Trent Beachum, Trey Galliher, David Love, Gracie Love, Emma Love and Sarah Love; two great-grandchildren, Skylar and Gage Campbell; sister, Audrey Moore of Rockingham; many nephews and nieces, Michael, Scott, Sheila, Sandra, Shelby, Kenzia, Crystal, Wendy, Trey and Ann.
