Kennettya Mashawndra Jackson was born on March 13, 1976 to Sylvia Jackson and the late Johnny Steele. He entered into eternal rest on Monday, May 11, 2020 at First Health Montgomery Hospital in Troy, NC.
Kennettya joined First Baptist Church, Norwood, NC at an early age.
Kennettya attended South Stanly High School wher he was a star-athlete, leading South Stanly High School in Football.
Kennettya was preceded in death by his father, Johnny Steele, his maternal grandparents, Betty L. Jackson Lee and Thomas W. Lee Jr.; his paternal grandparents Sidney and Hazel Steele.
Kennetta leaves to cherish loving memories his mother, Sylvia Jackson of the home; two daughters: Kimyada Jackson of Polkton (Burnsville community), Mykala Gainey of Albemarle; one son, Deshawndre Leak of Albemarle; two sisters: Amelia (Mitchell) Young of Matthews, and Needie Steele of Mt. Gilead; one brother, Steven Turner of Kingstree, SC; grandfather: Charles Smith of High Point; five nieces:A’Mya, Dazja, D’Naijha, Sha’Kema, Tatiana; one nephew: Ja’Kobii; two great-nephews: Malichi and Amir; and a host of aunts, uncles, relatives and friends.
Due to an order issued by NC Governor Roy Cooper to limit crowd size this service can only be attended by Immediate family, funeral home staff and guest personally invited by the family.
