Kenneth Morgan Sr.

Kenneth Wayne Morgan Sr., 86, of Albemarle, passed away Tuesday, May 6, 2025.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 PM on Friday, May 9, 2025 at East Albemarle Church of God. Rev. Harry Harward and Rev. Chris Boyd will officiate and interment will follow at West Concord Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. 

Mr. Morgan was born on April 3, 1939 in Cabarrus County to the late Ples D. and Esther Surratt Morgan. He retired from Albemarle Spinning after 37 years. 

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his daughter, Starr Morgan. 

He is survived by his children: Cindy Hatley (Kent)  and Jody Wilson (Scott), both of Albemarle, and Lil Ken Morgan of Goldsboro; six grandchildren: Garrett Hatley (Julie), Kena Hatley, Tabatha Gibson (Brandon), Samatha Shaver (Brandon), Missie Gendruae (Jeremy), and Chuck McCrary; and seven great-grandchildren: Kloey, Arabella, Scottlyn, Morgan, Maggie, Keegan, and MacKenzie.
