Keith Allen

Keith Douglas Allen, 58, of Kannapolis, passed away Thursday, August 29, 2024 at his home.

Keith was born on May 5, 1966 in Cabarrus County to the late James Dewey and Carol Rufty Allen. He was a 1984 graduate from North West Cabarrus High School. After high school, he attended Rowan Cabarrus Community College and obtained his associates degree. He was a former truck driver for K & L Trucking.

Keith was a vibrant and happy soul.  He enjoyed beach trips with friends and family, riding his pontoon on the lake, and cruising on his motorcycles with friends. He was a great Dad and loved his family, especially his grandchildren. One of his favorite hobbies was playing golf with his grandson, Chesley. 

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Paul and Ruth Rufty; paternal grandparents: Ann and Edgar Allen; and brother, Shane Allen. 

He is survived by his loving wife of 39 years, Kathy Martin Allen of the home; two daughters: Jamie Basso and fiance William Gulledge of Kannapolis, and Madison Gourley and husband AJ of Boise, Idaho; two grandchildren: Chesley and Brooklyn; and two soon to be grandchildren: Landon and Mia; mother-in-law: Jeanette ‘Mom’ Martin; and his beloved canine companion, Keiffer.
