Charles Henderson Foreman Jr. 76 of Norwood died Saturday Morning, January 18, 2025 at Atrium Stanly.
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, January 21, 2025 at Silver Springs Baptist Church. Rev. Larry Coley and Rev. Mark Little will officiate and interment will follow at Silver Springs Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 Monday evening, January 20, 2025 at Edwards Funeral Home of Norwood.
Junior was born March 16, 1948 in Stanly County to the late Charles Henderson Sr. and Nellie Drye Foreman. He was a United States Army Veteran and a member of Silver Springs Baptist Church where he had served as Deacon.
He was a retiree of CCI and prior to his retirement his favorite occupation was logging with his draft horses Princess and John Boy.
Junior loved his family and enjoyed socializing with his friends, horseback riding, fishing, hunting and especially farming with Larry Coley.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Glenda Mabry Foreman. His daughter, Sherry Foreman Swaringen (Mike) and son, Derrick Foreman (Jennifer).Seven grandchildren, Makayla Pitman (Jeff), Megan Culp (Doug), Breanna Preast (Logan), Andrew Swaringen, Morgan Trull (Hunter), Zack Cooper and Grayson Foreman. Seven great-grandchildren, Raya, Riley, Jennie, Alonzo, Amelia, River and Everleigh.
He was preceded in death by his 10 brothers and sisters, Rayvon Foreman, Fred Foreman, Frank Foreman, Jim Foreman, Jerry Foreman, Ted Foreman, Molly Atkins, Mary Mabry, Barbara Britt and Hilda Kimrey. He was also preceded in death by his grandsons Jace Foreman and Josh Foreman.
