Judy Surratt

Judy Creed Surratt, 69, of Denton, passed away Tuesday, October 31, 2023 at The Tucker Hospice House in Kannapolis. 

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 PM on Saturday, November 4, 2023 at Edwards Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Pleasant Grove of Jackson Hill In Denton. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. 

Mrs. Surratt was born on October 1, 1954 in Cabarrus County to the late Elzie Walter and Gertie Lee Furr Creed.

In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Larry Surratt; step-son: Michael Surratt; brother: David Elwood; and cousins: Penny Thomas and Donna Conner.

She is survived by her children: Wanda Smith (Jeff), Melissa Jenkins, and David Surratt; step-daughter: Alicia Luck; 8 grandchildren: Nicole Eudy, Joseph Campbell, Tracy Campbell, Shelby Jenkins, Darrell Jenkins, CJ Jenkins, Brent Luck and Nathan Surratt; nine great-grandchildren: Liam, Ian, Emerson, Jordan, Gabriel, Kallie, Melody, Hunter, and Aubrey; and two sisters: Sylvia Lett and Linda Preslar.
