Jo Ann Howell

Jo Ann Howell, 76, of Norwood, passed away, Wednesday morning, October 27, 2021 at Forest Oaks Assisted Living in Albemarle.  

A private service will be held at a later date.

Jo Ann was born March 15, 1945 in Cabarrus County to the late Edgar Monroe and Alma Gaynell Cartrett Hartsell.  She worked for American Lockstitch and was a member of Community Full Gospel Church in Norwood.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde Marshall Howell;  brothers, Mitchell and Michael Hartsell; sister, Becky Eudy; and great-grandchild, Abby Faith Burleson.

She is survived her children, Martha Chapman(Chucky) of Norwood, Doug Howell(Sandy) of Norwood and Lynn Howell of South Carolina; grandchildren, LeAnne Hicks (Jason Frashure), Ashley Burleson(Kelly), Chris Howell(Joni), Dana Lowder(Kim), Clinton Morgan(Shelby) and Justin Lisenby; great-grandchildren, Hunter(Ashlyn), Trey, Maddie, Chase, Madison, Tristan, Carson and Cameron; sister, Audrey Hartsell (Ronnie); andn brother: Roger Hartsell (Wanda).
