Jean was born March 27, 1932 in Stanly County to the late Marion and Mary Luna Honeycutt Cooper. She graduated from Morgan’s Business School and went on to work for Concord Telephone Company, a job she held for 41 years until her retirement.
Jean was an active member of Porter Baptist Church and was her Sunday school class secretary. She loved working outside in her gardens. Jean loved her entire family and always looked forward to the Cooper Christmas reunion. A funny thing that her family shared about her was her love of “Little Debbie’ snacks and Cherry Lemon Sundrop!!

She is survived by her daughter, Kay Griffin Summers(Rick) of Charlotte; granddaughters, Meredith Summers of Raleigh and Anna Summers of Birmingham, AL; numerous nieces and nephews.
Endless gratitude goes to the staff at Trinity Place and Hospice of Tillery for their compassionate and loving care.
